What is Rasa Yoga?

Rasa is a Sanskrit word that means “essence, juice, taste, nectar and  fulfillment of the soul.”

Rasa Yoga is a modern yoga school that honors the roots of yoga and is committed to the equity and inclusion of all.

In Rasa yoga we study:

✔️ asana (physical practice)

✔️ mantra (vocal practice)

✔️ mudra (hand gesture offerings)

✔️ myth (stories from Hindu and ancient yogic traditions)

✔️ pranayama (breath practice)

✔️ meditation

✔️ functional anatomy

✔️ Tantric yoga philosophy

✔️ shadow work + emotional intelligence

✔️ soul alchemy (integration of all the practices and the weaving into our daily lives, both individually + collectively)

Our Mission

Rasa Yoga is committed to equity and inclusion for all. We are dedicated to bringing forth creativity, community and sustainable leadership.

We are committed to protecting our planet by initiating seva projects in our local and global communities that protect, honor, and serve the Earth. We plant trees for all students in our live and online trainings as a small symbol of our commitment to sustainable leadership.

Our Values

Embrace with Compassion.
Rise with Courage.
Transform with Love.

I am beyond grateful for the experiences in being a student and a teacher of Rasa Yoga, founded by Sianna Sherman.

...my immersion in Rasa Yoga has set me on a learning (and unlearning) adventure. This has been so magical and transformative…and it is still unfolding!

I am growing as a yoga teacher and deepening my practices through the teachings from both the Rasa Yoga 200hrs and 300hrs online programs. This has been a truly alchemical journey for me in Yoga, in Life.

-Annet Richards-Binns, 500-Hour Rasa Yoga Graduate
